What are the regulations governing CCA training?
SkyWings offers a 4-week theoretical and practical training course that complies with European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) regulation 290/2012. As such, it includes the organisation of the official DGAC EASA exams to obtain the CCA under approval number NL-ACCTO-002/1.
Since the creation of the CCA programme by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in 2013, CCA qualifications issued by one of the 27 Member States of the European Union have been automatically recognised throughout the Union. This means that a CCA obtained in any European country gives its holder the same rights and the same validity as a CCA issued in the country to which he or she is applying.

Do I need to know how to swim to become a flight attendant?
Yes, swimming exercises are compulsory to pass the exams and obtain the CCA. So it's essential to be able to swim by the time you start your CCA course.
What level of English is recommended to become a flight attendant?
SkyWings includes 24 hours of English refresher training in its CCA programme, at no extra cost. It is not necessary to be bilingual in order to follow the programme; a B2 level is simply recommended at the start of the course.
How old do you have to be to become a flight attendant?
Admissions are open to people aged 18 to 35, and up to the age of 40 for those undergoing retraining.
Is the CCA compulsory to become a flight attendant?
Yes, the CCA is compulsory for all European airlines. It is also a major advantage for Middle Eastern airlines (Emirates, Etihad Airways, Qatar Airways, etc.).
What are the prerequisites for this course?
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Have at least a secondary school leaving certificate (Terminale in France, CESS in Belgium, Certificat de maturité in Switzerland).
- Know how to swim
- Be in good physical and mental health
Minimum height of 1m55 for women and 1m65 for men - No tattoos, scars or piercings visible in uniform
Can the CCA course be taken by distance learning?
In accordance with European regulations, CCA training includes compulsory practical modules that must be taken in person. At SkyWings, the first 3 weeks of the programme must be taken on site to ensure that the skills required to pass the official exams are validated.
Does the SkyWings training include any follow-up after the CCA is obtained?
In fact, the 4ᵉ week of training, which is the only one given remotely, is entirely devoted to preparing for recruitment. It includes personalised support provided by our expert trainers, all former Emirates cabin crew chiefs. Thanks to their experience, they guide each student to optimise their CV, presentation, interviews and application strategy, in order to maximise their chances of joining an airline quickly after obtaining the CCA. This follow-up is completed by the transmission of all the recruitment offers available upon graduation.
Are Open Days organised at any of the SkyWings training sites? SkyWings training sites?
We are happy to offer our students the best rates for a complete CCA course and the best job prospects. That's why our teaching teams are only on site during our training sessions.
Our information and assistance service is available 7 days a week from 8am to 8pm on +33 1 82 88 31 00 to answer all your questions about training, enrolment or career guidance.
Does SkyWings offer accommodation during the CCA TRAINING COURSE?
SkyWings does not offer accommodation directly, but we recommend flexible solutions such as Airbnb or apartment-hotels, which are often cheaper than the 3 weeks of classroom-based training. All our training venues are located within easy reach of public transport, which means you can stay slightly outside the city centre and reduce accommodation costs if necessary.
We recommend that you compare the options available according to your budget and preferences.
What funding options are available for CCA training?
Third-party funding such as the CPF, France Travail, local missions or other public schemes is not accepted.
However, payment facilities are available via Klarna (payment within 30 days, payment in instalments) when paying online and subject to eligibility.
A reduction of €100 is also available for jobseekers (on presentation of proof and excluding back-to-school transfers).
If you have a CPF balance or a training credit, we advise you to use it to finance English or other language courses, so that you can achieve an optimum level of language skills for training and recruitment purposes.
Do I have to be a European national to take the CCA course?
The CCA training provided by SkyWings is open to all nationalities and we are pleased to welcome students from all over the world. However, in order to enrol, you must already be a resident of the European Union. SkyWings cannot offer any assistance in obtaining a visa.
When will I be recruited once I've obtained my CCA?
Recruitment depends on a number of factors: your motivation, your level of English, your geographical mobility and your international outlook.
The CCA gives access to around 250 European airlines, each with its own recruitment timetable. Some processes can be very quick, others a little longer.
That said, the airline industry is experiencing strong demand, and there is a constant need for flight crews, both in Europe and worldwide.
SkyWings will actively support you during this phase, with interview preparation and personalised follow-up to maximise your chances of success.
